Last updated: April 9, 2026
1.What is the DMCA?
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law that provides guidelines for online service providers in case of copyright infringement. It creates a safe harbor for online service providers who promptly remove infringing content upon notification.
ReadTheRise respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA and other applicable laws.
2.Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on our website, please provide our DMCA agent with the following information:
Required information
- Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent

- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
3.How to Submit a Notice
Submit your DMCA takedown notice via email to our designated DMCA agent. Please include all required information to ensure prompt processing.
4.Counter-Notification Process

Counter-notification requirements
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed (URLs, titles)
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification
5.Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, ReadTheRise has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Site and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
